Wonderful autumn day here in the Midwest.  Trees are getting gorgeous and it is time for pumpkins and mums. 

Purchased some mums and pumpkin today to decorate out by my driveway.  Still have my Summer flowers out - just hate to destroy them yet, so guess I am mixing seasons for right now.   Petunia hanging baskets are still flourishing along with my impatiens.

Just came in from painting some fence that I have needed to paint for 2 years.  Usually paint it every year, but missed last year.  Always glad to get that done because it makes my driveway look so much better especially before I put the mums out.

Been a wonderful almost Fall Sunday here in the Midwest.  Flowers are really flourishing after our nice rain a few days ago.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Good morning. 
Nice cool morning here in the Midwest and great for cooking.  Since I am now following weight watchers for health reasons and need to lose 10#, I am trying some new recipes.

At this time, I  have an eggplant dish  in the oven and will post recipe at a later time (if it turns out good).  I have taken a basic recipe and transformed it so I know the WW points and have also lowered the points while adjusting.

Awesome September morning with a bit of chill in the air here in the Midwest.  Beginning to seem like Fall.  Spring flowers are flourishing again after our little rain the past few days.  Also, right beside them, the mums are ready to do their thing.  Just gorgeous time of year with so much going on in my flower beds.

I have many interests and gardening and yardwork are just two of my favorites.  Here is a picture of some of my flowers

My name is Carolyn and I am so excited to be starting my first attempt at blogging.  I am now a Midwest stay at home wife, mother and grandmother after being out in the work force for many years.  I am a Christian and  give Him the praise for all of the wonderful things that have happened in my  life.
