Today's WW 123 Success Old Plan Menu and Bible Verse and my Thrift Store Finds

Hit the jackpot at my local thrift store today - nice large throw and mini waffle maker.  Thought the waffle maker would be great to make me some sandwich bread.  Last week when I went, I got a hand quilted quilt that belonged to a friend of ours.  He had recently passed away and, I guess,  his family didn't want it.  I was so excited to get it.

Today's menu:

veggie patty

plant based cream cheese stuffed aid fried mushrooms

lt mini sandwich bun

plant based cheese

yogurt

pineapple

sf cherry pie filling

cottage cheese

Today's Bible Verse:

I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

When was the last time you sang praises to God outside a church building or devotional service with other believers? Why not open up the Psalms and find several verses that reflect your personal praise and thanks to God? Then, give them a tune — your own tune! God doesn't care if your spiritual gift is music or singing; he's just listening for your heart to be joyful as you share your praise and thanksgiving with him. Let's join in saying and doing what our verse for today commands: "I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving."

My Prayer...

O gracious Father, giver of every good and perfect gift, forgive me for relegating my thanksgiving and praise to special days and special places. I praise you for creating your human children with the capacity to celebrate goodness, to rejoice in your creation, and to have the capacity for praise and thanksgiving. Thank you for making our world so full of reasons to offer thanks to you, our Abba Father and Creator. As you continually fill me with your Spirit, may my heart overflow with songs of praise and words of thanksgiving. To your glory, in Jesus' holy name, I pray and praise you. Amen.

Today's old Weight Watchers 123 Success Program Menu and Bible Verse

Been busy getting up my Christmas lights inside and outside.  Still have more to do.  Hopefully, get some pictures soon.

Still on the old WW plan and loving it.  Here is today's menu:

Coffee with part of a protein shake

veggie chicken patty cooked in air fryer

skinny flatbread

green beans

plant based cream cheese stuffed mushrooms in air fryer

plain yogurt with sf jello

plant based soup

cottage cheese

flavored yogurt - fat free 50 cal.

Today's Bible Verse:

For this is what the high and exalted One says — he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.”

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

As many of us leave our season of Thanksgiving and transition into the season of Advent, we remember our most significant reason for giving thanks: Jesus' coming as God's incarnation in human flesh. After all, Advent means "the coming," and in particular, the coming of God to earth in Jesus. God loved us so much that he refused to be God far from us, dwelling only in a high and holy place. He chose to come near us and be one of us in Jesus. God is holy and beyond us (Isaiah 6:1-6). Yet, he became one of us in Jesus because of his mercy and grace (Isaiah 57:15). In Jesus, God surrendered his divine privileges and humbled himself so we could see both God's grace and our path to him in his greatness as a servant (Philippians 2:5-11).

My Prayer...

Loving Father, thank you for loving us so much that you joined us in our mortality through Jesus. Thank you, Jesus, for living among us and showing us what God-like living is. Thank you for knowing our struggle with living in human flesh in a broken world. Thank you for defeating death and giving us life with you forever. Because of Jesus, Father, we will forever want you to know our thanks and praise! Amen.

Back on Track with WW 123 Success Program after Thanksgiving

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family, but back on track today.  Menu:

Coffee with a  little almond milk and sf caramel syrup

Air fried Sweet potato

air fried pineapple

cottage cheese

feta cheese

yogurt

protein shake with 1 cup almond milk

Today's Bible Verse:

Be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

God is awesome and mighty. He can do anything he chooses to do. So isn't it amazing that of all the things he could do, God chooses to love and bless us? God blesses us with material blessings. He blesses us with spiritual things. He blesses us with big things and small things and things in between. He blesses us with hope. He blesses us beyond pain. He blesses us now and in the future. He blesses us and works things out for our best eternal outcome (Romans 8:28). So we honor him with our reverent respect — not a cowering fear but a loving awe and delight — remembering all the great things he has done.

My Prayer...

Generous and gracious God, thank you for blessing me in so many ways I can't count them all. Please use my life to be a blessing to others that leads them to a life blessed with you. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Leaves on my Pretty Tree are Falling Fast

This tree in my back yard has been so pretty this year, but leaves are falling fast.

Today's Old WW 123 Success Program and Bible Verse

Still pretty much eating on this plan and still loving it.  Weight stays about the same, sometimes fluctuating up or down 2#.   That is to be expected with me.  Last night, I ate cottage cheese and that usually makes me gain, but didn't this time.  Went to see my doctor yesterday and my LDL cholesterol is down just where he wants it be so this way of eating working for me in that respect, too.

I am about 4# away from goal, so I am going to enjoy Thanksgiving trying not to go too overboard.  I will eat what I want, but not stuffed like I have in years past.  :)  Don't have to cook much, so will not have leftovers.

Here is today's menu:

Coffee with protein powder

veggie chicken patty

flour tortilla

plant based cheese melted on patty

mushrooms stuffed with plant based cream cheese in air fryer

air fried pineapple (yummy)

yogurt

Today's Bible Verse:

Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
