Today's Old WW 123 Success Menu & Today's Bible Verse

We had a lot of wind and a little rain here in the Midwest this morning.  Yesterday morning, the weather people predicted 80 MPH winds, but I am thankful that storm missed us and we had wind, but not that strong.    Since I live in a farming area, the rain was really welcome, but some of the crops were damaged by the wind.

My weight is pretty much staying the same.  Probably, if I want to lose any more, I will need to cut some carbs.  But, they are so good.  :) Am happy with maintaining for the time being.

Today's menu:

protein cereal

yogurt

cottage cheese

4 oz deli turkey with skinny bun

strawberries & yogurt.

Bible Verse:

For the Lord says about his eternal ruler from Bethlehem,] "He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they will live securely, for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth. And he will be their peace."

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

As followers of Christ Jesus, God's Messiah, we believe this prophecy speaks of the Lord's coming. So when Jesus proclaimed that he is the ''Good Shepherd," he demonstrated it by laying down his life for us, his sheep! For us, however, Jesus as our "Good Shepherd" means all Micah promised — strength, majesty, security, peace, and much more (John 10:10-18). Our Shepherd, Jesus, means everything to us now and forevermore! We live securely, knowing that our eternal lives are in his hands. We know that when he comes back for us in glory, we will share that glory with him (Colossians 3:1-4). Most of all, Jesus is our assurance of eternal shalom — more than just peace amid life's storms, we can be assured of our well-being amid times of trouble until we share life forever in his glory.

My Prayer...

Loving and eternal God, thank you so very much for sending Jesus to be my sacrificial Shepherd. In a world gone crazy, his strength sustains me, his majesty overwhelms me, and in him, I find my security and peace as I face the future. In the name of Jesus, I thank you. Amen.

Today's WW 123 Success Old Plan Menu & Bible Verse

 Today's menu:

Veggie chicken nuggets

Skinny bun

cashew cream cheese stuffed in mushrooms and home grown peppers

pineapple

2 servings yogurt

protein mashed potatoes

Today's Bible Verse:

Correct me, Lord, but only with justice — not in your anger, lest you reduce me to nothing.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

We know that God is love! We know the Lord's justice is filled with faithful, lovingkindness. But God is also holy and righteous! If he did not lovingly and tenderly correct us, we could not survive before his tremendously awe-inspiring perfection. Yet our God has chosen to give us his undeserved mercy and kindness as he corrects us and molds us to be more like him — the God we see in Jesus. Because of God's grace and Jesus' sacrifice, we stand before God "holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation" (Colossians 1:22). Yes! We can stand before the Lord because of Jesus!

My Prayer...

Holy and righteous Father, I want to become more like you in righteous character, gracious compassion, faithful lovingkindness, and justice. But please, dear Father, humble and correct me gently, for you know how insignificant and flawed I am compared to you. In the name of my Savior, your Son Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Today's WW 123 Success Menu and Bible Verse

 Today's Menu:

homemade pizza with low carb tortilla

homemade sauce

tzatziki with peppers, onions,  mushrooms

olives

veggie cheese

yogurt

strawberries

protein bar

Today's Bible Verse:

Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" (that is, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus. John 1 :40-42

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

Almost every time we see Andrew in the New Testament, he brings someone to meet Jesus (John 1:40-426:5-912:20-22). Aside from this truth and that Andrew was Simon Peter's brother and a fisherman, we learn little else about Andrew in our Bibles. But doesn't Andrew have the kind of reputation you would like to have? "And he brought him to Jesus." I want to have the reputation of always bringing people to Jesus. Don't you?

My Prayer...

God, our source of salvation, please bless me as I seek to share Jesus with my friends and family. Please help me follow the example of Andrew, becoming someone who is always leading others to Christ. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Today's WW old 123 Success Plan Menu & Bible Verse

 Today's menu:

1 can tuna with mustard

whole wheat crackers

air fried mushrooms, peppers, zucchini, onions

1/2 c homemade catsup

bun

protein powder mixed with Greek yogurt made into sweet roll and air fried

2 veggie chicken fingers

Bible Verse:

Ill-gotten treasures are of no value, but righteousness delivers from death.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

As my brothers and I grew up, our mom regularly reminded us that sin is often a false shortcut to a good thing. Ill-gotten treasures may seem like a shortcut to riches, but they are a trap. So, the Holy Spirit reminded us in this passage that ill-gotten riches are not the path to a bountiful and satisfying life. Lasting value — spiritual worth that lives beyond our physical lifetimes — can only be acquired through godliness.

My Prayer...

Generous and loving Father, please forgive me for getting caught up in envy and the culture of affluence that suffocates and surrounds me. Please use your Spirit to develop in me the patience and righteousness I need to resist the deceptions of Satan and to pursue the fullness of life you long to bring me. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.

Today's WW 123 Success Menu & Bible Verse

 Today's menu:

Cottage cheese

sweet potato in air fryer

cashew cream cheese stuffed mushrooms in air fryer

peppers in air fryer

homemade sf catsup

Made sweet roll from protein powder, Greek yogurt, sweetener on a bun and baked in air fryer (yummy dessert)

protein bar

Today's Bible Verse:

Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

What better goal for a father or mother could there be? Even if you have no children of your own, or if your "own" children are grown, God gives you his children at your congregation so you can teach them to love, honor, and reverence their one and only heavenly Father. Jesus called us to make disciples who make disciples who make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Timothy 2:1-2). That means we know that part of our life's mission is to see Jesus formed in those we love (Luke 6:40; Galatians 4:9; Colossians 1:28-29).

My Prayer...

Loving Father, help me to be involved in teaching your children, and as I teach, please bless my efforts to teach them to love, honor, and reverence you, the one true and holy God. In Jesus' name, I ask for this help and grace. Amen.

Pictures of my Hollyhocks and My Front Porch

My hollyhocks are the prettiest they have been for several years  I need to tie them up yet just in case we get wind or heavy rain.

Everything is blooming on my front porch.  This year, I have more flowers on my porch than out in the yard as I did last year.  A lot easier to care for.

My front porch.  You can see in the background that I have more hollyhocks at that corner of my house.
Flowers by one of my fountains - lantana, moss rose

It is really hot here today, so will have probably to water flowers again this evening after it cools down.  Since my porch gets a lot of the hot afternoon sun, the flowers dry out pretty fast.
