Old WW 123 Success Plan Menu for Today and Pictures and Today's Bible Verse
It has been a long hard cold spell that we have had here in the Midwest. Getting back to my eating plan after just eating comfort food and too much of it. We are in the 30's today, so much better than the below 0 temps that we had.
Here is a picture of a loaf of homemade bread that I just took out of the oven. I plan on staying out of it.
Today's lunch was shrimp in low calorie cream sauce with veggies on flour tortilla and strawberries and yogurt.
This evening, I plan on eating soup with pineapple and yogurt.
Today's Bible Verse:
Today's Verse
He gives us plenty of good things. He makes us young again, like an eagle that grows new feathers.
Devotion
Psalm 103 is a song of praise to the Lord. It begins with, “My soul, praise the LORD! Every part of me, praise his holy name! My soul, praise the LORD and never forget how kind he is!” (Psalm 103:1-2). It then goes on to list a number of the kindnesses that the Lord bestows upon His people. Our verse for today has one of them. The Lord gives us plenty of good things. Indeed, He gives us so many good things that we’re made young again, like an eagle that grows new feathers after the molting of its old feathers.

Bitterly Cold Here in the Midwest - 20 below 0 last night Back on Old WW 123 Success Plan Tomorrow - Bible Verse
We have the most snow that we have had here all together for a long time here in the Midwest. 20 below 0 is just pretty cold with a wind chill of far more than that.
Starting back on my old WW 123 Success Plan tomorrow. Has been so cold here that I have just eaten comfort foods and need to get back on plan tomorrow. I know this cold weather will pass sooner or later, but it is tough on people and animals right now.
Bible Verse of Hope:
Romans 15:13 (NIV)
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Bible Verse:
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
The real issue isn't "if" but "when" we're enticed and tempted! Our children face tremendous peer pressure and temptations. We do, too! We must help them resist the enticements of this pressure. Also, we must never tire of resisting them ourselves. One example of a parent preparing his child for trials and temptations is found when God affirmed his Son, Jesus, with affirming words at his baptism when he opened the heavens and said: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased" (Luke 3:21). And if the words weren't enough, God opened the heavens and sent down Holy Spirit in the form of a dove! How vital were these words of affirmation? When we see what happened next, Jesus' forty days of temptation in the wilderness, we realize they were essential! Satan's first words to Jesus were, "If you are the Son of God..." God had already blessed his Son with words of affirmation and encouragement before his trials. How much more do those we love need our words of affirmation and love to resist their trials and temptations?!
My Prayer...
O God, I do face temptations and enticements. Please guard my heart, my life, and my example. Please help me be a person of character and integrity. In addition, please enable me to lead, protect, guard, and warn my loved ones — those in my physical and spiritual families — and help them avoid stumbling and falling in trials and temptations. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

New Year New Start with Old WW 123 Success Program Menu and Bible Verse
Hope everyone had a wonderful blessed Christmas and will have a blessed New Year. Starting today, I am back on program and really glad to be. Feels so good to get back to my normal pattern of eating.
As I have said before, I am no expert on food, but I know what works for me. I have had to watch my weight all of my life and this program works best for me as I can still enjoy my favorites. When I take away things that I like, I have a problem staying with it. Here is today's menu:
Coffee with protein shake
chicken pattie with mustard and onion
homemade bun with protein powder and egg whites put in a little individual waffle maker. not bad, but I will try to perfect it and add more seasonings next time
plant based cheese melted on my sandwich
green beans
yogurt
soup this evening
Bible Verse for the New year:
Psalm 65:11: “You have crowned the year with Your bounty, And Your paths drip with fatness.” Psalm 103:4: “Who redeem thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies.” Psalm 104:33: “I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.”
