Today's Counting Calorie Way of Eating Menu:

 Well, finally made it to Friday.  Long week because of the cold weather here in the Midwest, but supposed to warm up this weekend.

Today's Menu:

Protein pancake with 1 T sf syrup

Protein shake

Individual pizza

rice cake with sf jelly

cottage cheese

homemade coleslaw

applesauce

6 saltines

 Nice day with sunshine here in the Midwest, but it is cold.  But, after all, it is November.  Here is today's menu:

Stir fried cabbage with onions with 1/2 cup brown rice in wrap

Strawberries with 3/4 cup FF Greek yogurt

Cottage with 6 saltines

Applesauce

 I have been so busy the past few days that I haven't got my menus posted.  I shoot for under 1000, but some days go over just a little.  I am down another # today Here is today's:

Back to Counting Calories for My Weight Loss

 Have just gone back strictly to counting calories instead of my one meal a day.  I  wasn't doing too well with my blood sugar and got hungry before it was time to eat again.  Didn't sleep well either.  So, this is working for me.  I am losing slowly but am losing.  I have around 15# to go to get to my goal.  

Today's menu:

B - Protein shake in coffee

L - Homemade crab rangoons 

Stir fried cabbage with brown rice

Yogurt

                                                                   Today's lunch


D - will be 1/2 cup cottage cheese with 6 saltines

1/2 cup applesauce

Today's OMAD (One meal a day) Now Have to Watch Cholesterol as well as Blood Sugar

Since I have started watching my cholesterol as well as my blood sugar, seems like I am limited as far as eating many things.  I am trying to keep my grams of cholesterol under 200.  I know I can do this, but I have always kept my blood sugar down eating quite a bit of meat.  Now with this other problem, I am having to really watch that, too.  :(  I don't take meds for either one of these problems and don't want to start if I can help it.     

I guess I am just determined and stubborn enough to want to get this controlled on my own.  

Today's number is chol. 135, so I have made it today. 

Today's menu:

Stir fry - shrimp, cabbage, onions, seasonings, with 1 T olive oil

2 T Parmesan cheese

5 black olives

Shiitaki noodles

Applesauce & SF jello

30 min. of exercise

Today's OMAD Diet Menu

I believe I have warned everyone that sometimes I eat strange food combinations  :)

Just eating what I like right now and it seems to be working, for me anyway.  I don't restrict carbs and that is the reason that I am losing slowly; but I feel great with this kind of food.  I have done low carb, but this is the way for me.  All bodies are different.


Today's menu:

Air fried butternut squash fries

cottage cheese

sf butterscotch pudding

yogurt

blueberries

Yesterday's Reduced Calorie OMAD Menu - Another Pound Gone

 So excited - down another pound this morning.  Pretty slow, but am enjoying what I eat.  Total of 8 pounds since 9/6.

Been so busy the past few days, that I haven't gotten my menu's posted.  Here is yesterday's:

Homemade egg drop soup

SF butterscotch pudding

Today's OMAD - One Meal a Day

Just not hungry today so I am  doing very low carb today.  I don't get as hungry when I cut some of the carbs.  I have done this many times before and it really helps me.

Menu:

Hamburger

2 strips bacon

2 eggs

Today's OMAD and New Camera

 I have been gone most of the day and not very hungry when I came home, so had an air fryer beef pattie with cheese. 

As I live in a rural area, it takes a while to get to the major stores.  I had to go get me another camera for downloading my project pictures for my Etsy Shop.  My old one has served me well, but quit yesterday.  I had been using it several years, so guess it was time.

Today's OMAD with Picture and Recipe


 Today's Menu:

Sausage gravy on flour tortilla

Salad

Homemade SF peach cobbler

The recipe for the gravy is from one of Joanna Lund's cookbooks.  It is for Hamburger Milk Gravy on Pg 214 of the Health Exchanges Cookbook.  I have most of her cookbooks and use them quite often.

I did make some substitutions - I used sausage instead of ground beef and I only had reduced fat cream cheese. Still yummy.

8 oz ground turkey or beef

2 C skimmed milk

3 T flour

1/2 C ff cream cheese

1/2 C frozen peas

2 T chop pimiento

1 t dried parsley flakes31/4 t black pepper

2 English muffins, split & toasted (I didn't have those so used a flour tortilla.

I combined all and cooked until thickened.  Place on the muffins.

Serves 4 - approx. 245 calories

The peach cobbler was another one of her recipes on pg 248 of Cooking Healthy with a Man in Mind.

1 pkg vanilla cook and serve pudding

1 pkg sf lemon gelatin

2 cups (16 oz can) peached, drained 

2 T  pecans for topping

7.5 oz Pillsbury biscuits

1 T sweetner

1/2 t nutmeg

Cook all of the ingredients until thick.  (1 1-1/2 C water plus peach juice) except the biscuits which go on top and pecans  

put in 8 by 8 sprayed baking dish and top with biscuits. Sprinkle sweetener and nutmeg   Bake 12 - 15 min until biscuits are golden brown

6 serv. at 167 calories each.
