Down One More Pound This Morning on My Calorie Counting Plan and One of my Favorite Hymns

I lost another # today.  I have been walking 20 -25 minutes every day.  This makes 14 # since January 1.  I have 6# to go to my first goal.  Depends on how my Spring  clothes fit if I go on down another 10.  We will see.  As slow as I usually lose, it may be a while.  :)

Today's menu:

Homemade chocolate muffin

Large salad with low calorie dressing

Chicken pattie

Blueberries with Yogurt

Flax, chia, collagen

Spinach with strawberries with feta

cottage cheese

applesauce

6 saltines

As I grew up in a Primitive Baptist Church, I have always loved the old Hymns, so here is one of my favorite.

Standing on the Promises

Verse 1

Standing on the promises of Christ my King,
Through eternal ages let His praises ring,
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
Standing on the promises of God.

Chorus
Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.

Verse 2
Standing on the promises that cannot fail,
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
By the living Word of God I shall prevail,
Standing on the promises of God.

Chorus
Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.

Verse 3
Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
Bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,
Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,
Standing on the promises of God.

Chorus
Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.

Verse 4
Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
Listening every moment to the Spirit’s call
Resting in my Savior as my all in all,
Standing on the promises of God.

Chorus
Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.

May all have a very blessed day.
